R. Hill or Hughes? WHIR

Postby angels7777 » Mon Jun 01, 2009 11:57 pm

with Wang pitching well, is it worth it to drop Hill for Hughes as Hughes could lose his starting spot any time with a bad start or 2?

your pitching looks really solid as is. you're gonna need sheffield or bradley to fill in for sizemore. i read today the he might have to have surgery if he doesn't feel better after 2 weeks on DL. hope not, b/c i have him too. if you really want hill, i'd drop sheffield. i just don't think you need Hill though, but i know it's tempting to grab him before someone else does.

Not a Hill fan, although he looks good tonight, but it's the weak Mariners.

people forget a couple years ago, Hill was one of the most sought after pitchers in baseball and was demoted by Pinella because of his control - mental issues aside and healthy, can this guy perform at a high level again?

He had 1 nice year, but even that was a near 4 era. He could produce something, but i'm not fond of curveball pitchers. Sounds like you want him bad though. Sheffield/Bradley really not a loss if you cut them.

LOL - as we speak someone just snagged him off the wire

we have pitcher vultures in our league and I guess that's why I was thinking about jumping on Hill
