My Howard & Porcello for his Evan Longoria? WHIR!

Postby sigriffey » Mon Jun 01, 2009 6:05 pm

I was offered Evan Longoria for my Ryan Howard and Rick Porcello.

we can keep 6 players and Howard can be kept through 2010 whereas Longoria can be kept through 2011.

Do I do this to be set at 3B for the future?

interesting trade, i think howard and longoria are about equal, with the nod being given to longoria since imo 3rd base is a weaker position than first. I think Porcello is nasty and will get even better so i would look to get back someone for him as well, he is too good to be a throw in.

help with mine?

ya throwing in Porcello is not necessary - and since it looks like you have 3rd and 1st covered that is not an issue - however given that you can keep Longoria an extra year that might give you the edge here in this deal

The Keeper factor isnt as huge since you guys keep so many players and you already have MCab which looks like you can keep him going for another year.

And I agree with the first 2 posters. If you can get it down to a Howard for Longoria straight up, or for a lesser pitcher than i'd say go for it, otherwise you gotta sit tite.

please help!
