I am in a 14 team dynasty league (with 25 prospect spots) and have been offered Cameron Maybin, Neftali Feliz, Jarrod Parker for Matt Kemp. I am currently in the process of rebuilding and am debating on if this is the kind of deal I should swing.
Here is my OF:
LF - Lind
CF - Granderson
RF - Kemp
U - Choo (RF/LF)
As it stands right now, Kemp will lose RF eligiblity for next season, which means either he or Granderson would be forced to my utility spot. Therefore, I am thinking about capitalizing on whichever would bring back more, because a Util player is typically replaceable (albeit with less points than Kemp would likely score).
I have a ridiculous amount of OF prospects too, including Heyward, F-Mart, M. Taylor, Decker, Saunders, Halman, etc, which means I might be able to replace Kemp in the next few years (which is when I might be competing). Plus I'd get back Maybin.
Is this a logical move on my part? I usually don't like to sell of young, established players for prospects, but it makes some sense in my mind.
