In two of my leagues am considering snapping up Nolasco because he was waived. Based on his minor league starts, there is evidence he has turned it around (finally).
In one league (12 team H2H) my candidate pitchers to drop are Porcello and E. Santana (the others I would not consider dropping). In the other league (12 team roto) the candidate pitcher to drop would be Kelvin Escobar (maybe Lackey or Buehrle but I don't think so). I can not drop an offensive player because in on league I am offensively injury plagued and in the other league offensively challenged.
At this point I am considering dropping Porcello and Escobar for Nolasco, but I am not an expert here.
E Santana has struggled and may have more ahead whereas Porcello looks good this year and poised for 17 wins, similar stats to Verlanders 1st 2 years, I would possibly let Nolasco go in the 1st scenario, the second Escobar would be a good candidate if you want to gamble on Nolasco.
In one of my leagues I pulled the trigger: drop E. Santana and pick up Nolasco. My reasoning was that I think it likely that E. Santana will be demoted to the bullpen once Escobar is activated.
In my second league, I am still contemplating on whether I should drop Escobar for Nolasco. It will require a drop of Sheffield, which I would do anyway to activate Escobar from the DL.

easy there turbo, Santana is not going to be sent to the bullpen - I would hold onto Escobar and Porcello is pitching well so I might stay put
After having slept on it, the solution became obvious. Drop my 4th closer Dan Wheeler for Nolasco.
I decided that the potential upside to Nolasco was worth surrendering my final RP spot that would only net a few rogue saves anyway. Wheeler would probably gain me at most 1 point in the RP category.
If both Escobar and Nolasco pan out, I figure I can always trade one for a more reliable RP than one for chasing rogue saves.

He is definitely not going to the bullpen. Escobar is due back on Saturday and Sciosia (sp) already said Matt Palmer is going to the bullpen.
