Stephen Drew dropped -- use #3 Waiver -- WHIR

Postby bocman111 » Mon Jun 01, 2009 5:26 pm

12 team 5 x 5 mixed league.

Stephen Drew was just dropped. Do I use my #3 waiver claim on him. Someone else in my league will probably take him otherwise.

I also added Garrett Atkins from the FA pool. Good add? Jim Tracy seems to have him hitting 4th.

Here's my lineup:

C: Sandoval
1b: Morneau
2b: Utley
3b: Wright
SS: Peralta (would be Drew)
OF: Beltran
OF: Abreu
OF: Hawpe
Util; KKKKKKKris Davis, Felipe Lopez, Garrett Atkins

I wouldn't be so sure that someone will grab him right off waivers. I wouldn't use my #3 position for him. I'd risk it and see if he makes it to the free agent pool then drop Atkins for him.

Until I see Drew's AVG improve I would not use that high of a WP on him.

I wouldn't use your waiver on Drew. I've never been a believer in him and I think he is a downgrade from Peralta. Peralta should start heating up and he should provide more power than Drew. I like adding Atkins because I think (or hope) that he will start hitting. Thanks for your help with mine.

I wouldn't use my waiver priority to acquire Drew as well. If you were really weak at SS possibly but Drew is not much of an upgrade from Drew.

Help with mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=388266
