I was offered Jake Peavy, SP - SD(Yahoo Rank #92) for my Johnny Damon, OF - NYY(Yahoo Rank #22).

My batting has been great, but my pitching has been so-so.

Should i make this trade where it will help me?

I would make that trade pronto. Jeter is overrated as a fantasy player while Peavy is amongst the best pitchers in the game. A trade to a contender would increase Peavy's value further.

Make the trade then pick up Escobar.

I disagree that Jeter is overrated in fantasy this season. Home runs are flying out of the New Yankee ballpark, and Jeter has been the leadoff hitter for that potent NYY lineup. 20-20 with a .300BA is a legitimate chance for Jeter this season, and that's on the low end.

As for Peavy, he may end up getting traded before the deadline. Which in turn could hurt his value when leaving Petco.

As for the trade, it could go either way, I personally would stay put. Your pitching staff is perfectly fine, and SS is a slim pickens.

OK, what about if i gave him Johnny Damon? he has been slumping since his big streak and he is OF, which there are plenty of......whatcha guys think?

i know johnny damon is much more higher ranked, but what you guys think about him straight up for peavy?

I think Damon will fall off somewhat from his hot start, and Peavy is a stud pitcher. I don't think Fukudome makes a good enough OF fill in though. Do you have more help on the wire?
