Capps or Sherrill? WHIR 100%

Postby col24 » Mon Jun 01, 2009 11:17 am

I am in need of saves. Pretty much the only 2 closers I can get are Capps or Sherrill. I am trading Chris Davis for one of these guys.

They both are avg, but any preference on either closer??????

Thanks for the help!

I'd take Capps over Sherrill by a pretty good margin. I know the injury sucks but other than that he is solid and is not going to lose his job. Sherrill pretty much sucks IMO

help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=388035

yeah, hate that he is coming off an injury, both teams stink and get little opportunities.

when it gets hot in texas, davis will be worth more than both of those guys, but at least Capps has a job. Sherrill could lose that job to Ray as soon as the O's fall out of contention.

thanks for your help before.

I agree with the majority in saying that if Davis gets out of his funk then he will be a beast. Let's hope that doesn't happen though since I own Blalock...lol

Out of the 2 closers though I would definately go with the more proven guy in She......just kidding!...lol You have to go with CAPPS here. Even though the injury still makes him a little iffy he did have a save the first game back (without it being fully healed). Although the save looked horrible and he got lucky with it, it still goes down in the books as a win (save).

I do disagree with everyone here though regarding Sherrill and the fact that he sucks? and that he will lose his job to Ray and all?....Sherrill has been nothing but studly ever since his demotion over a month ago. All he needed was that spark and the demotion word stuck in his head and he has been great ever since. Ray has been nothing but horrible, sent to the minors and from what I heard, even though it's only been a few days he's been there, I heard he has stunk it up there as well. (No way Ray becomes Fantasy relavent this season).

So.....I would grab Capps over Sherrill but if I were you then why not try both for Davis and if not then both for Davis and a crappy WW throw in (if you have any of those)!

Good luck!

Capps. Sherrill is pretty much garbage in my eyes. Capps had been strong before his arm started acting up. So if you can trust his health then go with him!

Help?
