Trade for M Cabrera? WHIR

My Goal - To acquire a 3rd baseman,I have Chris Davis at 3rd and absolute garbage on the WW.

I have offered - L Berkman and Randy Johnson for Miguel Cabrera. REJECTED!

The Counter Offer - He came back with L Berkman and Gallardo for Cabrera.

My opinion on this deal - I COULD do it, I have stellar pitching but of course one of the reasons I have stellar pitching is Gallardo. I have Smoltzy coming up soon technically would replace Gallardo. I could also plug Votto in the 1B slot to replace Berkman. I need a 3rd baseman,am I thinking clearly on this? If I am going to give up Gallardo, its going to a GREAT cause ,its Miguel Cabrera for cryin' out loud!

I feel it's a little Expensive for Miggie. I've got him and he's been slightly under performing this year. He isn't getting people on in front of him so he's not getting pitches to hit. Gallardo just killed my team this week. I think if the other guy needs pitching bad enough a straight up could do or even Davis and Gallardo. They way your league scores Berkman is more valuable than he appears. (BB 2PTS) He'll walk much more than Davis. 11 WALKS for the year for Davis 34 for Berkman. I think Davis will end up with more HR's though.

I love Miggy, but I agree that price is a little high. Is there a mid-tier 3rd basemen you could target without having to give up Gallardo?

I think if you want Cabrera that badly it will cost Gallardo and Berkman to get him. Forget Davis as his value is worthless and I would much rather have Cabrera than Berkman. So unless this owner is brain dead you will have to offer Berkman and another good player.
