So I took over this team in a 20 team dynasty league. Currently this team is in 8th place. So what moves should I make to improve this teams chances of winning now and in the future? Also do you think I should trade for some top young players like wieters or beckham?

you appear to have a lot of weaknesses, but in a 20 team league that is evened off a bit. If you can trade for Wieters somehow, naturally that'd be a great idea.

IMO that is a decent team for a 20 team league. Your offsense and in particular your OF is weak though. I generally do not like to bag it for top prospects that are unproven. You could bury yourself permanently in a league that deep if you do that and they do not pan out. Try to trade 2 for 1 to get better top players if you decide to bag it. Particularly, trade pitchers like Jurrjens and Haren for some proven young sticks you can rely on next year.

I agree your OF needs help, and pursuing Upton is good idea. Weiters could be a challenge depending on the owner. You need a 2B as Iwamura is done. Nady could and Harris could also be options to drop and add from your wire. You'll have to share what is out there. 20 team league likely makes it tough, but we will try to help.
