i would say don't do it if you didn't have solid pitching already. you've been without webb all season, so i think it's a good deal. however, with webb's name and known skills, i think you could ask him to throw in a pitcher with upton. if not, i still like the deal. not sure how good webb will be whenever he comes back.

help me please: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=387964

I would do it. You get a known quantity for a guy that has been hurt all year.

Your pitching is solid. It would benefit you more to get upton.

I agree with everyone. Good trade. Coming back from a shoulder injury you won't know what you get. Justin is a stud

Tough choice. Upton should be a stud, but he has only had a good month (look at his splits) and Webb (when healthy) is a top 5 pitcher. How many players do you keep? Perusing your team I'd say Morneau, Phillips, Carlos Lee, and Santana are LOCKS, with Verlander a no-brainer, and if you freeze even more, F-Rod fits the bill...so how many do you keep?
