first one is good, but i still don't like the second one. since you're assuming bruce will make up for prince's power, then i understand your desire to do it. however, i'd go after billingsley or grienke over peavy.
The first one is an absolute no-brainer. Take that one and run, you are making out like a bandit.
The second one is even value, but if you make the trade and slide Bruce into UTL, with Peavy as your new SP, both deals work very well for you. I'd do both.
The first trade seems to be a no brainer. Definitely go with it. The second one I would pass on. You give up too much offense. There are always good pitchers that are available on the wire that wouldn't cost you so much.
I make the first trade all day. You have a former top prospect in all of baseball about to pull it all together. No brainer!
Second deal I wouldnt do. Prince is a beast and regardless of what you have now if you are dying to move him for pitching in the season then trade up, but Peavy is coming off of a serious injury and no one knows how he will rebound. I say see what other pitching he has for sale and balk at Peavy.

Look. Like Ksig says, Peavy is a big unknown. chances are marcum is available after the draft. pick him up as a FA. he's a sleeper this year now that he is in the NL.
