I have Halladay, Gallardo, J. Johnson, Kershaw, Scherzer and Liriano

I am going to drop Liriano.

I really like Escobar but I would not drop a talent like Liriano for him. Have a little more patience with him.

Help??

I'm not going to be patient and let someone that could be a dominant pitcher slide by. Liriano is bad. He has something wrong and now where near the velocity he used to have. It's likely he be taken out of the rotation if he has 2 more outings like he has had.

Smoltz >>>>> Escobar

Liriano is like Nolasco...cut bait when something comes along that is worthy. Whether that is a DL'ed pitcher coming off major injury is something you have to debate. Smoltz should be on someone's DL though.

Is Smoltz as big of a strikeout pitcher as Escobar?

Smoltz wil lbe headed to the HOF. Escobar has been a long time member of the DL for his entire career it would seem. Both are decent DL stashes, but I would gamble on Smoltz way before I gamble on Escobar.
