Any idea if he will start for the Tigers this week?

Personally I've always though Bonderman was overrated. The media always seemed to want to make him out to be an ace, but he's never posted an ERA under 4 and only once under 4.50 in a full season, and once last year in 1/3 of a season. Anyway he was supposed to start in the minors today, that the latest i saw.

Not sure where his velocity was but he threw a gem today. 8 IP 6 hits 0 ER 0 BB's 5 K's and 66 strikes on 98 pitches so quite efficient. I agree that his perceived value is a bit overblown, but he certainly has the potential to be a valuable number 3 fantasy starter as his 2006 would point to (214 IP 4.08 ERA 1.30 WHIP and 14 Wins with 202 K's). It would also stand to reason that there is room for more growth considering he's still only 26 and though it feels like he's older, he was rushed along and already has just a hair under 1000 major league innings. The biggest thing that would really push Bonderman along would be developing a consistant off speed pitch, whether that ever happens is up for debate, but considering he's missed as much time as he has, perhaps he'll find a new found dedication to improving his craft... who knows. I don't suspect he'll be a great fantasy play this year, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was a useful last starter in 12 team or larger leagues. I'm going to stash him in one of my DL spots and give him 1-2 starts before cutting bait.

There's no way Porcello is going to be removed from the rotation.

I would expect D-Train's leash to shrink to next to nothing. If he pitches well, I'd say the same about Galarraga. Either way, the only time Porcello appears to be removed from that rotation is when he reaches a likely pre-determined work load. Then again, since he was rushed to the majors (though succeeding thus far), who's to say the Tigers will even monitor his work load...

my guess is the Tigers leave Bondo down as long as they can so they can continue to evaluate Willis/Galraga

Willis and Gallarraga are both bumped before Porcello.
