Not sure where his velocity was but he threw a gem today. 8 IP 6 hits 0 ER 0 BB's 5 K's and 66 strikes on 98 pitches so quite efficient. I agree that his perceived value is a bit overblown, but he certainly has the potential to be a valuable number 3 fantasy starter as his 2006 would point to (214 IP 4.08 ERA 1.30 WHIP and 14 Wins with 202 K's). It would also stand to reason that there is room for more growth considering he's still only 26 and though it feels like he's older, he was rushed along and already has just a hair under 1000 major league innings. The biggest thing that would really push Bonderman along would be developing a consistant off speed pitch, whether that ever happens is up for debate, but considering he's missed as much time as he has, perhaps he'll find a new found dedication to improving his craft... who knows. I don't suspect he'll be a great fantasy play this year, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was a useful last starter in 12 team or larger leagues. I'm going to stash him in one of my DL spots and give him 1-2 starts before cutting bait.
