Gordon Beckham for Nolan Reimold? - WHIR

Postby Bea Arthur » Sun May 31, 2009 4:20 pm

Deep 20 team keeper league. I have Beckham stashed. My normal SS is Reyes and I have Barmes in there now with Reyes out. My OF is McLouth, Hamilton, Rivera and Daniel Murphy.

Is Reimold up to stay or is he going to be sent back down now that the Orioles OF is healthy? If Reimold is going to be a par- timer in the crowded OF I'd rather keep Beckham, but if not, Reimold would seem like a good option for my third OF'er. Thoughts?

Stick with Reimold. I think he'll keep most of the playing time he's seeing now, and he's a very underrated power option.
If Ozzie Smith can make the Hall, why can't Rey Ordóñez?

thanks for helping me. i'd keep reimold over beckham. i'm not sure if he will continue getting regular playing time, but at least he's already been called up.

5 keepers. Given my roster, I doubt either would be keepers unless they totally set the league on fire.

As someone still waiting for Hanson to come up, I think these long waits can be a pain unless you keep the guy. Stick with Reimold for now.

I picked up Reimold in 2 of my leagues. He is in a very nice lineup and it looks like he should get regular playing time and he could be good for years to come although I doubt you would keep him. I might consider Beckham if you had more than 5 keepers or had to keep a player for the long run, but for now Reimold is definitely a nice option for a third outfielder for you. I would play him over Murphy and Rivera and unfortunately it looks like Hamilton's oblique is bothering him again.

Looks like G.Beckham just got the called. He should be playing a little 2B and 3B.
I wonder if it will be split between the two or if they will let him settle on a position.
