Trade Offered (Mauer/Miggy for Halladay/Chris Davis)

Postby briane » Sun May 31, 2009 4:13 pm

7 team AL only. I need pitching.

I give:
Joe Mauer
Miguel Cabrera

I get:

Roy Halladay
Chris Davis
Jason Isringhausen
Glen Perkins

Avg. is not a category, OBP and SLG are; I have a substantial lead in OBP, and am replacing Mauer with Wieters. Is this still too much to give up?

yes, i think it's too much. i'd offer mauer and someone else for halladay straight up. do you have a pitcher you don't really need to keep?

If I substituted Nick Markakis for Pat Burrell for Miggy and Chris Davis?

Or Bobby Abreu for Pat Burrell?

i'm not sure what your new proposal is. the guys you mentioned the 2nd time weren't in the first deal. (burrell, abreu, markakis)
clarify please.

help me on a new one please: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=387964

Clarification:

instead of sending Cabrera and getting back Chris Davis, he's willing to take Markakis and get back Pat Burrell.

My feeling is I am willing to slightly overpay for pitching, but this is ridiculous. And I can't make it.

i'd trade abreu before markakis. so you're looking at mauer and abreu for halladay and burrell? that is more even than miggy/mauer. halladay is a top 3 pitcher, so if you need it, go for it. i'm curious as to what other outfielders he has though.

did you look at mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=387964

I'd make that deal too. he turned down Abreu and wanted Markakis instead. That's why I think I'm going to say no. Here are the offers:

Joe Mauer & Miguel Cabrera
for
Chris Davis (or Mike Jacobs) & Roy Halladay & Izzy & Glen perkins

2) Mauer & Markakis
for
Halladay, Burrell, Izzy & perkins
