Shields for Adam Jones

Pitchers: Billingsley, Peavy, Josh Johnson, Verlander, Bedard, Hanson, Nolasco, Bell, Francisco

As you can see my pitching has been pretty incredible. But my hitting has been amazing thus far too. And I honestly think Choo or Werth can fill my 3rd OF slot admirably. And it would be an opportunity to trade Jones when his value is high.

What are your thoughts on the deal?

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think Jones will regress that much. My money's on him ending up with better overall stats then Markakis which would make him late 2nd/early 3rd rounder. That said, is Shields really selling high? If you want to upgrade your pitching (I don't think you need to) target one of the big guns. Jones/Johnson or Billingsley or Santana...or something like that.

Than id move Huff over to 3b. I do like Lowell though.

you can get a better pitcher for jones in my opinion. your pitching is really solid. getting a better 1B is a good plan i think. what about packaging nick johnson and adam jones for a prince fielder? i like morneau better, but i'm not sure you could get him. adam jones' value is really high though, so it can't hurt to try.
