All three of those players are performing pretty well right now... Howard and Tex were late 1st round/early 2nd round picks, so I doubt you'll be able to pry them off any owner for cheap.
I'm going with Adam LaRoche. His Pre-All Star and Post All-Star breaks are significant:
Career Pre-All Star Line: 1453 AB. 197R, 58HR, 225RBI, .250AVG, .324OBP, .447SLG.
Career Post-All Star Line: 1039AB. 155R, 60HR, 183RBI, .297AVG, .360OBP, .548SLG.
I also expect Andre Ethier to rebound rather nicely once Manny gets back. He's too talented of a hitter not to rebound.

picked up LaRoche 5 days ago. an owner dropped him, and with Delgado (who I dropped w no DL in the league) and Votto Im really in a bad shape, so I hope he will help this year much earlier. Now I only gotta find someone to play 3b, with Aramis on the shelf and Chipper sitting a lot as usual.

Nice one. I just grabbed him off waivers after looking at those same splits. The crazy owner in our league (you know the one...) dropped him for Carl Pavano. Candy from a baby...

I traded for him in early August last year (Quentin and J. Johnson for Oswalt and J. Upton). Wound up taking me to the title game. Now Im hoping for another rebound, since Johnson has looked good this year.
