who are your pitchers? And you already have Phillips at 2B so how does that improve your team?

Uggla is being dropped in a lot leagues so based on value alone, right now, it's probably not the best deal. Long-term, it will probably favor you a bit. All depends on whether or not Cueto eventually implodes. I'm not as worried about Uggla improving since he has a proven track record. He's basically the Adam Dunn of middle infielders.

Tough call b/c I'm not a fan of any of the 3. Unless this is a deep league, Cueto is really the only piece that you can't find on teh waiver sometimes. Uggla is HRs and that is it. He will kill your average. Tavares is a one trick pony, speed......a few runs, but that is it. Cueto is pitching over his head IMO, and nothing more than a #3 type starter. Unless you are just desperate for power I'd stay away from Uggla.

The thing about Cueto is he had a filthy start to last year as well, and then more or less imploded. Uggla had a career year last year. Taveras is just a speed demon. Essentially, you'd be trading an inconsistent (but sometimes, stud) pitcher and SB, Runs, and decent Avg. for just about nothing but HR's. Value...people will definitely be looking for steals later on in the year, and a pitcher if one of theirs gets hurt. I don't see how this deal favors you.

;-D

And IF you're planning on making this trade and then packaging Uggla & another of your SP's for an OF...where does that leave your pitching staff???

I say don't do it

I'm not so sure this is a good deal. I think right now Cueto has the most value of the 3. Uggla is a very streaky player, so if you think you can deal him for someone else then it might be worth it. Grab him now at a low price and sell him when he gets hot. Just don't miss your window of opportunity to sell.

SB and good SP are typically the hardest cats to fill. But an OF who only gives you SB isnt worht the roster spot. Cueto will taper off but will have more value on Sept 1 than Taveras. No trade.
