another owner and I have been going back and forth for some time now on a deal...ill post both rosters and the last 2 offers before i go ahead and see what the cafe thinks of my latest idea for an offer (this will be lengthy..sorry)

he has been in the market for OFs, and is fed up with lester so my last trade offer to him was
MY- davis, ibanez, ichiro, vazquez, r soriano
HIS- mcab, ellsbury, lester, soria

he countered with
MY- davis, ibanez, ichiro, vazquez
HIS- mcab, pierre, lowe, soria

i dont want anything to do with pierre since he loses all value once manny comes back, and would really like to take the chance on lester (worst thing that happens is i turn around and trade lester to another owner who highly covets him)

im thinking of countering with (or something in this neighborhood)
MY- davis, ibanez, ichiro, greinke, soriano
HIS- mcab, ellsbury, lester, lowe, soria

id like to get the cafe's opinions on this last offer i am thinking of tossing out there...WHIR if you leave a link, but im headed out so I wont be able to get to them until late tonight/tomorrow morning, but any questions will be answered with thoughtful responses!

Good lord what happened to his offense?? His two best players by far are Ellsbury and MCab and he's willing to give both of them up?? Wow.

Anyway, it's interesting that his counter didn't include Lester. If he's really fed up with him, I don't see why he would exclude him from the deal. In any event, it looks as though you're close. Your proposal and his counter included the same players from your side (excluding Soriano). I would think that simply taking Soria and Soriano out of your first proposal would be enough to make it happen.

Your - Davis, Ibanez, Ichiro, and Vazquez
His - Miggy, Ellsbury, and Lester

I still think you come out comfortably ahead in that trade and it looks as though it would have an excellent shot at working. If you don't like the sounds of that, I think your counter is a good one and something worth trying.
