A good wavier wire pitcher?? WHIR

Postby Philbo135 » Fri May 29, 2009 5:59 pm

So Carlos Quentin is on the DL. I'm looking to pick up a pitcher to fill my roster. I'm in need of suggestions on a guy that can help stabilize my pitching for the next week or two. I need someone who can help all around with my stats: ERA, K. W, WHIP. Anybody got any good suggestions for someone on the wire?? Phil Hughes?? J.A. Happ?? Blanton? Pelfrey? Maine?? Blackburn??
Some help here would be great. Thanks so much.

I like Pelfrey the most out of this bunch he will give you the most help in the wins section. I would also keep a eye on Happ he looked good against the Yanks in his first start of the year.

help on mine?

I would go with either Pelfrey or Maine. I might lean a little to Maine.

Please help me!

What about Outman or Porcello? Outman has some serious striking out ability in the big league. His ERA and WHIP is pretty good as well.

Help me back please? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=387672&p=3091919#p3091919

Pelfry/Maine/Outman are all solid pick ups. Randy Wells on the Cubs has also looked solid, throwin all quality starts so far, he is under the radar right now. Keep an eye on him and Outman, they may turn in some solid outings this year

Thanks guys. As it happens I picked up Pelrey....and I've had Porcello, and picked up and started Wells...who played fine. I'll keep an eye on Outman.
