can i depend on williams to perform well this year..he is techically my third starter...i have schilling, oswalt and W. Miller...with harden and Milton on the bench..
any predictions?

he has been having some shoulders problems and hasnt pitched in a game yet so you cant really call him dependable. however, his latest throwing session went pretty well so i am optimistic that he will pitch fairly effectively. according to larussa, the cards are still planning on carrying 12 pitchers "to protect the starters." since i think a large part of his slide in the 2nd half was due to overuse this can be seen as a good thing. since he will be your #3 or #4 i wouldnt worry too much.
