Kinsler,Dice K,Granderson for Utley, Scherzer, Jeter?(WHIR)

I don't do this. I have Kinsler in about every league I play in and love the guy but I think you stick with Utley. Both these guys play in great parks and good lineups but I think Philly's bats are unreal this year (it's just their pitching that stinks).

Your OF is fine (Holliday is coming around, Lee will put up decent numbers and Braun will as well). I don't think Dice K is a significant upgrade to your rotation (it's solid) and I think Bartlett was playing way over his head and this DL stint could unfortunately bring him back to earth.

i disagree about dice k. hes been a roller coaster since his 100mill debut. ive noticed that these asian pitchers seem to fall off drastically after a couple of seasons.

You're getting an upgrade (imo) in SS, a very solid OF who gets lots of triples which is a category in some H2H's and runs and a decent amount of HR's. Slowey and Dice K are close, but Scherzer's got great upside but on the other hand is a very big risk. I think you do it because of the Granderson kicker.

I am not sure how much I like Bartlett long term, Dice-K is always up and down it seems, but value seems to favor you here

This is for the Friday afternoon crowd. Anyone else have anymore opinions before I pull the trigger on this deal? I just don't know if I should give up Utley. Let me know. Thanks and leave your links.

I like this deal for you. Kinsler is struggling, Jeter is solid and if nothing else Scherzer will give you K's

to me, Dempster is not really an upgrade over Dice-K and really would not change anything in this potential deal - this trade is a lot closer when you break it down - potentially Scherzer and Slowey could be more effective than Dice-K/Dempster and Jeter could very easily outperform Bartlett the rest of the way

but then Kinsler and Utley are similar with Utley having a health edge, but then you have Granderson which seems to bring the value back your way - tough call especially since I would hate to be relying on Bartlett as my starting SS

Yeah, at first glance I didn't like this deal because you're giving up Utley, but it's good for you when you break it down. Kinsler is in a terrible slump but he's still Kinsler. Granderson throws the deal way in your favor since he heavily outweighs any other player in the deal. I do think Jeter >> Bartlett long term, but it's worth it to get Granderson. No other players really matter since the value of Scherzer and Dice K is so low compared to the value of Granderson. I'd pull the trigger.
