Ervin Santana for Gallardo or Zambrano

Postby OV614 » Thu May 28, 2009 5:59 pm

I have Ervin Santana on my roster. He has been hurt all year. He just came back last week, came in for 1 inning, and gave up 7 runs; earning me a 63 ERA for that day. I'm sure he will improve but maybe not. Yovani Gallardo and Carlos Zamrano are both available on the WW. Should I drop Santana and pick up one of these guys? Or hang on to him? I am currently in last place. So I need to do something. I keep losing a lot of cats just by a pt or two. I'm playing in a 8 team h2h league. Thanks.

Drop Ervin for Gallardo. In an 8 team league there's no reason to be sitting on someone like Santana who'll likely take a fair amount of time to return to form.

Also, he really doesn't have much more upside than Gallardo (in fact he likely has less) so you might as well own the healthy one who is performing right now.

Good call. ;-D I think that would be a fine secondary move.

Drop Nolasco and Santana for Gallardo and Zambrano.
