I'm in a yahoo league with 10 teams 21player roster. Each week, your pitching staff must total the minimum innings pitched. It's a H2H league with daily roster changes scored by:
Runs
Hits
Home Runs
Runs Batted In
Stolen Bases
Strikeouts
Errors
Fielding Percentage
Batting Average
On-base Percentage
and for pitching:
Wins
Complete Games
Shutouts
Saves
Strikeouts
Earned Run Average
(Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched
After the draft, I've been left with 7 pitchers (5SP, 2RP). However, every other team in the league has 9 pitchers (7SP, 2RP). I've been told my both sides, that I will be out pitched, and that my roster is fine. I know I have a good pitching staff, but I think I am going to suffer for being 2 starting pitchers short. Do I really have a problem? Here is my roster:
C- Ivan Rodriguez
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Jose Vidro
3B - Troy Glaus
SS - Aaron Boone
OF - Manny Ramirez
OF - Preston Wilson
OF - Adam Dunn
Util - Edgar Renteria
Util - Eric Hinske
Bench - Juan Pierre
Bench - Josh Phelps
Bench - Edgardo Alfonzo
Bench - Mark Bellhorn
SP - Curt Schilling
SP - Tim Hudson
RP - Keith Foulke
P - Roy Halladay
P - Mark Prior
P - Josh Beckett
Bench - Scott Williamson
Should I stay put? Hit the waivers for people like: Sabithia, Santana, Wright, if so who should I drop? Or should I make a trade with one of my 3B's Hinske, Alfonzo, or Bellhorn?
I really don't know what that is, It's at bottom of the page with my roster, I forgot to include the rest of the sentence, it seems like your pitcher has to pitch a minimum of 7 innings before his stats count for the week. This is my first year at fantasy baseball and I thought that was common.
Innings Pitched:
Each week, your pitching staff must total the minimum innings pitched. If you fail to reach this mark, you will lose all of your pitching games for that week.
My most important question that I want to get answered is: Should I accquire 2 starters to equal everyone else's number of pitchers, or just one starter?
