True dynasty league, 16 teams, standard roto scoring.
I have Votto and another manager (die hard Reds fan) is wanting to deal Fielder straight up.
Yes?
Thanks in advance, leave a link if you'd like an opinion on an issue of your own.

Go with Fielder. It's a tossup between these 2 usually, but with Votto's inner ear thing I'd go with the guy who you can count on playing every day.

Personally I like Votto better. I don't think Fielder will ever repeat what he did a couple years back.

I appreciate the input so far, but this is a true dynasty league, meaning we keep all players from year to year. So really this question is who do you perceive to be the better long term keeper, Votto or Fielder? I am not concerned with the extremely short term issue of Votto's ear infection.

I would take Fielder over Votto. Fielder is younger and has had multiple good seasons. Votto looks good but he hasn't proven himself as much as Fielder has. In a dynasty league I want my core players to be proven commodities. That and I think Fielder has at least equal, maybe more upside than Votto.

Yeah I agree with the above post you gotta go with the younger more proven commodity in Fielder.

I'd go with Votto this year, even with the ear infection he still plays in a great park and if he gets back to what he was doing prior you'll be set.
Let me know your thoughts...

Fielder..Not even close. Fielder has more hr, rbi than votto this year and has proven he can hit 50 hr's in a season. Votto has yet to prove he can hit 30 hr in a year. He will give you a better BA but its not enough to justify the difference. Go with fielder much more proven.
