Jason Kubel for Cristian Guzman or Jerry Hairston Jr.?

I am looking for a SS right now. Did I pay too much to get an only OK (not good) SS? But I really think Orlando Cabrera is no good, and really want to make the move before Aramis Ramirez came back.

Guzman in my opinion is better, but Hairston can play 3B, SS and OF, so I can use this guy to backup almost my whole batting roster. What about potential of those 2 guys? I can also pick up Clint Barmes from FA.

What other positions do you all think I need to improve? I think I will trade one of my 3B for a good OF after Ramirez is back. What do you all think?

by the way, I personally think Kubel has better stats right now, but a good SS is harder to find. What about the potential down the road? Thanks!!

I think Cabrera will turn it around. Hes gotten off to slow starts before but in the end his numbers are usually there. He makes good contact, but the hits just arent falling for him right now.

The only thing I'd worry about with O-Cab is that he has one steal, and has been caught 3 times, and the A's arent known for stealing a lot of bases.

Try to deal Kubel, or wait till right when Aramis is coming back and deal him, Chipper or Blake for a good 2b (moving F Lopez to SS) or SS.

I would pick up Hairston (if that's your only option?) Is Zobrist available even? (Please list the WW/Free agent listing!

In a 12 man league I think you need some serious help (sorry)....unless your Pitchers are awesome then heres the outlook:

Martin - horrible this year so far
N.Johnson - Good but not great and not elite
D.Uggla - Good spot and starting to come around (could be better but good)
C.Blake - Pretty good this year so far but borderline WW material
O.Cab - Stink fest (try and upgrade)
Chipper - Hopefully he starts heating up but with the lingery injury and age I just don't see it happening
F.Lopez - Has been less than steller thus far
C.Lee - Good
J.Bruce - Good
Coco - not good...lol (need an upgrade here)
Kubel - WW material
Melkey - WW material
Berkman - Good
Teahan - WW material
Aramis (DL)

So.....not to harp on your team but you need some serious help/improvement. I am in 3 leagues and all the above mention WW material are because they are all on the WW in every one of my leagues. Please post your WW and maybe we can help you out with some upgrades.

Thank you so much for the analysis, yepp, this team stinks, the pitching is not good either. I took it over from a friend. Here is my first 6 rounds draftees, it pretty sums up my whole season.

1st: Carlos Lee (not a 1st rounder)
2nd: Lance Berkman (going down)
3rd. Aramis Ramirez (out for 2 months)
4th. Chipper Jones (old, hurt a lot, no lineup support)
5th. Russell Martin (what???)
6th. Mariano Rivera (old, not a 6th rounder IMO)
