Ok, I've got the #1 waiver in my league and currently sitting 2nd. I'm considering grabbing Wieters when he becomes available on Friday night (rookies don't show in my league 'till they have played their first MLB game) and using him at catcher for the rest of the season, and trading either Adrian Gonzalez or V-Mart since both are 1B eligible. I'm a touch light power-wise with Thome pretty much sucking so far, so I'm seriously considering trading V-mart while his value is sky high, and trying to get a big bat to use in my Utility slot. My thinking is that the power numbers for the rest of the season could be roughly the same between V-Mart and Wieters and I know I can get better value for Martinez than Wieters. But, am I over-thinking this? Or, is Gonzo the one to move since he's got such a bad team behind him?? OR, do I hold onto my #1 Waiver for Tommy Hanson???
My team is listed below, along with my scoring cats. Leave a link and I'll gladly return the favor!!

Goodnight Ladies! GOODNIGHT SIR!!! Hit the lights sweetheart!
Hmmmm you could go two ways on this. Use your priority on Weiters, Trade V Mart and one of your OF to get a better OF. Your OF's need some help. Don't trade Gonzalez. He is gooooood!
But your pitching could prob use Hanson. If it was me I'd try and do Option one and go for the trade to upgrade to a big bat.
Use your waiver on Wieters and trade Vmart for some offensive help at a different position. I'd try for a 2 for 1, and get both a 2nd tier SP with high upside (Kershaw, Lester, etc) AND some offensive help in return for Vmart. You will be gaining the top offensive prospect and selling high on one of your players. Thanks for helping with mine!
I would also grab Wieters with your #1 WW priority and try and trade V-Mart. Gonzo is on a bad team but is the best on that team and is tearing the ball up.
I would try and trade V-Mart straight up or with 1 of your OF's for some power. I would also try and grab Hanson as well when he becomes available and if someone else gets him (which is most likely to happen) then see if they will trade for him or just forget it but grab Wieters and trave V-Mart for a power bat are my suggestions.
It's a no brainer to get Wieters here. He is going to be a stud. And I too would trade VMart and an OF for an upgrade in Offense. Keep AGon, he is a stud.
Agreed, grab Wieters w/ur waiver claim, but hold off on a trade untill he proves himself, there are no sure things. Assuming he performs after a couple weeks trading V-Mart for an upgrade sounds like a great idea. Hold on to Gonzalez! Thanx for the help on mine.

Wieters looks like he's gonna be something special. & once he comes up, you have no need to have 2 Catchers. And, while VMart has a lot of value @ Catcher, if you plan to use him at your 1B slot, he's not nearly as valuable as there are a lot more 1B who can put up similar #'s as VMart can.
That being said, package VMart & someone else to bolster your OF
