FYI. Anyone have any information on the severity of the sprain?

yeah this was news (horrible) to me. everything said out monday and maybe tuesday, then today this comes out. i'm in a weekly lineup league w/ jeter on the bench so really bugs me.

Jason Bartlett is progressing well from a sprained ankle, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

Barlett hit off a tee Wednesday and will do the same Thursday in addition to performing running drills as he continues to work on his injured ankle. The shortstop hasn't ruled out returning from the disabled list when he's eligible next Wednesday. More will be known as he ramps up his running drills over the weekend.

Jun 4 Bartlett (ankle) has started hitting off a tee, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation: It was originally thought that Bartlett would spend the minimum 15 days on the DL, but trainer Ron Porterfield said he is "not 100 percent sure" he will be ready by then (June 10).
