I recognize the name "Mancow" but I haven't heard him. Apparently he's a conservative talk show host. I guess he lost a bet and decided he'd be waterboarded.
He lasts 6 seconds and admits that he thinks it is indeed torture. This video isn't as bad as other videos I've seen but use caution if you are sensitive to such things.

And then the entire Clinton Administration, and the entire Bush I administration, and the entire Reagan administration, and the entire Carter administration, and we'll do the Obama administration too, right, because none of us are naive enough to think that torture wasn't done in any of those administrations, and/or in the current administration, right?
Torture is like PEDs. It may not work as advertised, but everyone's using it.

Yeah, but the Bush administration takes priority over all of them.

Why? Who is standing up for those people who where burning alive in the towers? Or the ones who had to leap to their death so the didn't burn alive?
I'm not FOR torture by any means. But it's not like we are just picking on random people here.
“Never argue with a idiot, because first they will bring you down to their level. Then beat you with experience.”
I was against waterboarding, then I watched the 911 special the other night. I wish the US would play by their rules when it comes to interrogating their leaders.

WTF does this have to do with this story? JB, I thought you were beyond this.
The thread title is "Conservative Talk Show Host Gets Waterboarded". How is it not related?
Beyond what? I haven't even given my opinion on torture, nor do I plan to. It's a very complicated issue and I personally don't think there's a black and white answer to it. If anything, the only thing I was trying to get across by posting the link to the CNN story I posted is that what is and what is not considered moral is often relative.

They're dead. They don't need anyone to stand up for them. What you're looking for is "who is standing up for American ideals?" And how is torture, racism, and xenophobia a necessary element of American ideals?
And no, they're not random people, but this isn't ancient Babylon and the U.S. government isn't supposed to be Hammurabi. We don't rape rapists and we don't force-feed meth to drug dealers (a lot of states to kill killers but that's a different subject), and we shouldn't terrorize suspected terrorists. Just because they don't play by the rules doesn't mean we don't have to.
