I love Pujols, but that trade is VERY tempting. Would you be playing V-Mart at 1b or C? If it's catcher who would he be replacing? Also, what closers do you have?

Help with mine plz - viewtopic.php?t=386909

post your roster, and your league type (how many teams, roto or head to head points, etc...) you probably won't get many answers without this information and the answers you get might not make sense as far as the big picture goes.

Pujols - best first basemen but this position is fairly deep and you could probably find a decent replacement
Hill - is on fire along with the whole bluejay squad but I have a feeling things are going too cool down in T-dot so now might be a good time to sell high

Martinez - arguably the best fantasy catcher - catcher is very thin on talent
Utley - arguably the best second basemen - also a thin position
Soria - amazing closer whose value is hurt by the team he plays for as well as the fact that he is not healthy and may continue to be that way for parts of the year

I think i would go with this trade but you should probably wait to get a few more responses before you pull the trigger

12 team roto 10 cat(R, HR, RBI, AVG, SB, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP)

My Team:
C-Varitek(Posada DL)
1b-Pujols
2b-Hill
3b-Longoria
ss-Drew
of-Beltran
of-Dunn
of-Ethier
util-Fukudome
bn-Parra
bn-Jesus Guzman
bn-Bourn

sp-Jered Weaver
sp-Romero
sp-Burnett
sp-Slowey
sp-Zambrano
sp-James Shields
rp-Rivera
rp-Putz
bn-Valverde

I could play Martinez at first and Posada at C, or Martinez at C and Dunn at 1st. I think I have enough depth at OF on my bench to replace Pujols w/ Dunn.

Boy, it would be hard to give up Pujols, but this trade is tempting. Could you post his team? Maybe you can squeeze one more upgrade out of him.

Who is he playing at 1B for example?

I say no deal. You sure could use a closer, but I would look for another way than this deal.

Pujols >> Martinez - V Mart has the potential to hang near in Avg. Every other stat is in Pujols' favor

Hill = Utley - I know I will probably get flamed for this, but look at their current production. Stat lines are nearly identical. Yes, Utley has a more established track record, and some do not believe Hill can continue like this (I am not one of them) but bottom line these two are basically the same right now.

Soria >> nobody

In my eyes it comes down to "would you trade Pujols for Martinez and Soria?" I would look elsewhere for closer help and keep Albert in my lineup.

He has Huff and Votto at 1B. Maybe if I threw in Posada he would thrown in Votto, because he does not have a back-up C and the FA are awful.

So it would look like

Pujols/Hill/Posada

for

Votto/Utley/Martinez/Soria
