Trading Chris Carp? whir

Postby cashish25 » Mon May 25, 2009 8:49 pm

I am in a ten team league where u keep 4 guys. I have no catcher (Ramon Hernandez or Yadier Molina) I have solid rotation of: Peavy,CC,Chris Carp, YGallardo,Josh Johnson,Wandy Rodriguez, Jared Weaver, CKershaw, rodney, hbell, lhawkins

This guy really likes Chris Carpenter as he as been lights out, being an injury risk i am going to trade him carp and f rodney for matt wieters and javier vasquez

I would definitely do this trade. Saves are easy enough to pickup on the WW if you pay attention. Vaz is worth more in my opinion than Carp due to injury concerns. Wieters will be a major upgrade at C when he gets the call. Rodney has been good this year, but he has Zumaya waiting for him so slip up. I say go for it and keep your eyes on WW closers.

Yeah agreee Rodney is on a short leash and Carp tends to go on the DL or miss a start after a good game and may have to move to the bullpen in the future, wieters will be great and you can play Hawkins Bell in closers until you can find a new one.

help with mine?

You can definitely afford to trade a SP, but I'd be hesitant to give up a closer...even one as mediocre as Rodney. I like the idea of trading for Wieters though. The buzz in Balt is that he will be called up on June 9th.

I'm thinking of trading Carp too. Thoughts? viewtopic.php?t=386909

With Wieters getting the call up on Monday I would definitely go for this. I just can't see Carp staying healthy enough.

Help?
