UPDATED - Trading Crawford - roto 5x5 - AL only

Currently looking to trade for some power and wins... I'm willing to part with Crawford to get this.

If I had Crawford, I would deal him for a better HR hitter, if that is the stat you need. You can probably land Dunn and a solid pitcher for Crawford.

I cann understand trading crawford later in the year - but i would hold onto him a few more weeks until you get a better offer.

pena and lackey for crawford is fine - but you are also giving up butler and jenks (and jenks' 25 saves will be huge by the end of the year in your standings)

you mentioned OF help on waivers - what about SP help on waivers? guys like matt palmer and rich hill might be available as decent sources for 10-12 wins.
with the solid corps of SP you have you can afford one crappy SP who won't totally blow up your ratios.

I would post that crawford is available and wait for the bidding war to start - and see who will blow you away with a better offer than pena and lackey (unless you can get him to let you keep jenks)

Yea i keep wavering on this one - the problem is the guy who wants to trade with me only has tradeable power as a 1B, so it is hard to come up with a trade that works both ways. We worked it down to Crawford/Butler/Jenks for Teahen/Lackey/Pena... am I still giving up too much?

does teahen really help you?

does he qualify at middle infielder in your league? if not he's not of much use to you.

I would offer him crawford for lackey and pena straight up and if he's not budging then look elsewhere for a different deal.

remember pena's 33 HR will help you, but his 233 BAvg will hurt alot too. He's a nice piece for the RBI production - but he's not the savior you might think

Lackey has pitched ok since his return but he is still a huge question mark.

Crawford is the only sure fire producer in this trade and I hate to give up the best player in a deal this early in the year

and remember that huge lead you're building in SB - it will go away very quickly once crawford is gone.

take your time with this deal and get as many SB from crawford before you trade him. you could wait a whole month andstill have plenty of time to catch up inthe rbi and HR totals - especially if you geta better big bat for crawford later in the year.

at this point - crawford should net you someone like teix straight up or maybe with tossing a piece on either side of that deal.

if it were me I would go after after teix or similar if i were trading crawford.

Thanks for the great input, I decided instead to trade Jenks/Coco for Lackey/Teahen... I was thinking of possibly doing a deal of Crawford for Jason Bay (with a different team)

I was just offered Pena and Hunter for Crawford and Huff - I need power still and a very large lead in SB

Ideas? Thanks
