Putz has a bone spur in his right elbow and it's painful for him to throw the splitter.

After last night's performance, I'm not sure he's even the 8th inning guy anymore.

A possible DL stint for Putz then I take it?? Sure sounds like it to me. Bobby Parnell will probably take over the 8th inning setup role then in this case.

He's apparently throwing his other pitches without a problem, and wants to fight through this.

We'll just have to wait and see.
