Who to grab?

Postby wkpdpack » Sat May 23, 2009 9:26 pm

12 team keeper league, 5x5 roto scoring. I'm currently 2nd so definitely playing to win this year. Need to pick up a player, probably a pitcher since Baker has been cold and Uehara may not start next week (injured hamstring tonight). Currently 3rd in Ks, 1st in ERA, 2nd in WHIP, 4th in wins, 1st in saves. Could pick up whoever will close in Tampa, but it seems like that's an unknown at this time.

Please post your top 2 pickups since I Uehara could also be headed for the disabled list.

Piniero (hittable and low K's)
Kawakami (can he finally keep it up after his last two games)
Tallet
Outman
Blackburn
Andrew Miller ( has he finally turned the corner)
Cook
Marshall
C. Richard
R. Hill
Garland
Lohse
Ohlendorf
Bannister

Top hitters:
Hairston
Iwamura
J. Hairston
Rowand

My current lineup:
C Salty, Navarro
1B Howard
2B Roberts
3B Blalock
SS Furcal
MI Drew
CI Morneau
OF Braun, Hamilton, Kemp, Granderson, Hart
U Fukudome
P Bell, Baker, Billingsley, Bush, Greinke, Lee, Millwood, Scherzer, KRod
Bench: Baker, Uehara, Ad. LaRoche
Minors: Fowler, I. Stewart, Clement, Sanchez

Clayton Richards pitched a pretty good game tonight. 6 innings. 8Ks 4 hits and 3 bb. I'm looking at maybe adding him, Happ who also pitched well today for the Phils. I'm aso going to wait and see how Willis does Sunday for the Tigs.

I like Marshall too but hes a lefty and the Cubs don't have a good lefty in the bullpen. Hes starting now now could go back to the pen soon.

i don't know if he is available but Maine is pitching twice this week at home against wash and fla. if not sticking to your list I would go with Ohlendorf against CWS and Lohse.
