Drop a Stud...pick up a DuD? WHIR???

Hey all....so, a very bad day today and not sure what to do?

I am in a Yahoo (12 man) Roto league and I just found out that M.Young walks in with crutches today and has a sprained Whatever...lol I have no backup SS and was wondering who to drop and what SS to pick up off the WW or do I sit and hope Young misses todays game only?

To top things off I had to drop Aardsma today also in order to take Zambrano off the DL. So...do I drop one of my stud's (Stud= Star Turned Undesired Dud)!!! (Stud's include- E.Santana, C.Zambrano, Joba) or one of my other pitchers?

WW SS's:
B.Zobrist (who I would most likely pick up if needed), C.Guzman, A.Collaspo, C.Barmes, E.Andrus, J.Hairston, M.Aviles, O.Cabrera

That's pretty much it...what would you do? Do you drop a Stud or a Pitcher like Z.Duke/E.Jackson/K.Slowely? Thanks for the help and as always....WHIR!!!

(Just did a trade that gave me Cantu/Chipper that hasn't gone through yet so those guys are untouchable. I am also working a deal that includes BJ Upton/Molina/Morneau so that's out of the question also)

I'd drop Slowey for Zobrist, I guess.

rough spot you're in. i'd drop zach duke for a SS. while i really like zobrist, he isn't a starter. at a position like SS, i think you need someone who will get regular at-bats. is asdrubal cabrera available? if so, i'd get him. if not, i'd get andrus. he's had less at-bats than guzman or callaspo, but has more homers and stolen bases. he's the starter now in tx... i'd give him a shot.

Thanks for the replies. A.Cabrera isn't available....basically everyone I listed is he only ones out there. I was thinking of dropping Dukes myself (definately over Slowely who has heated up).....I really want to grab Zobrist over any of the other guys since I have to since he has the most talent and STAT line. He has started the last few games in at 2B so that might stick or I believe eventually they will put him in everyday. If later he doesn't then I'll just drop him for another Pitcher on the WW when M.Young plays again so......

Also......anyone hear any news on M.Young and if he is going to miss more than a couple days or not otherwise I will just ride out an empty SS spot for 1-2 days and continue trucking along???

Zobrist is getting ABs in the OF. And I feel Duke is better than Slowey. But that's my opinion.

That's cool....thanks for the opinion and help. I just mentioned Zobrist being in 2B because today that's where he is playing. (I know they are most likely going to shift him around all over during the season though most likely.

The only reason why I personally am likeing Slowely over Dukes is because this is a Roto league and Slowely gets more K's and more W's (lately since Duke has been getting screwed out of the W's department)....so just based on those 2 CATS I would take Slowely over Duke. (as far as Avg/WHIP.....not sure how this league figures that into the Roto scoring so I can't really see what my guys are doing in that department....lol)....I'm new to Roto as you can tell (alway used to H2H)

Drop Duke add Zobrist.. Z is going to play everyday while Burrell is out and Young should be back relatively soon.
