Simple...whose better---Tex or Morneau??? WHIR!

Postby WhipperSnappers44 » Sat May 23, 2009 2:24 pm

Hey all,

I own Morneau in one of my Yahoo 12 man Roto leagues and have a huge Mancrush on him. Another owner has Texiera and I also like him alot as well. The other owner is trying to get Morneau from me and he only has Tex at 1B and I only have Morneau at 1B (Cantu is playing 3B) so if we swap then I want to see if he should get a throw-in or should I or is it straight even?

I just want to know who will be better throughout the season and also if I trade away my Morneau and BJ Upton (since he is trying to get Upton as well) (I could also add B.Molina since he has Sandoval at C who sucks) then who could I target from his team along with Tex? I am trying to get Billingsly from him and after prior talks he doesn't value (undervalues) Bills the way he should be valued so I could get him pretty easy if the offer is right. He put a message out trying to get rid of his pitchers so he is not really looking to get any in return and he just made a trade giving away 2 top pitchers (his R.Halladay/R.Franklin for the other guys Hanley/C.Lee)

Thanks for the help all and I will help you if you need it! Thanks!

I don't know how you can say that. They are about even in my opinion. Their stats were pretty even last year, and they are pretty close this year, if Morneau would drop hi average by 80 points! Morneau will hit for less power, but he gets 4 or 5 triples a year. i say they are on the same level.

Hmmmmm....so I have a 1 and 1 here!...lol

So....do you think I could pull a: My: Morneau/Molina/BJ Upton/Joba (or a diff SP) for his: Tex/A.Jones/Bills? Do I need to add back an SP? Which SP? (Zambrano/Joba/E.Santana have been playing crap ball this season and it's killing me)

BTW....another reason I like Tex now more is because my wife likes him and also I live in the Philippines and the only games they show here (so far) have been the Yankee games so it would be cool to watch Tex all day!...LOL

Thanks again!

Here's what I would offer:
Morneau/BJ Upton/Molina for Tex/Bills.

You make out like a bandit here, and he'll probably accept given that he's undervaluing Bills and Tex, as well as looking to acquire Morneau and Upton.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=386585

I'd take Tex over Morneau, especially since Tex is a well known slow starter.

Help please

They are both great players, and some say that they are equal. I am trying to answer this in a unbiased way, but I would pick Tex all day long over him. Tex is a slow starter, he bats in front of Arod, great hitters park. So, Tex is my answer.
