Trade Help (involving Teixeira and Santana)

12 Team H2H Mixed Points Keeper league.
Categories: 3B (4), HR (4), ExtraBaseHits (1), Total Bases (1), BB (1),R (1), RBI (1), GWRBI (1), SB (1), K (-1), Cycle (50)


I just took over this team that has great hitting and horrible pitching and I've been trying to even the two out. There are two trades I'm considering:

1. Giving up Adam Dunn
Receiving Rick Porcello, Jordan Zimmermann

2. Giving Mark Teixeira, Ryan Dempster
Receiving Johan Santana, James Shields, Russell Branyan

I have good flexibility at both 1B and OF with Ibanez, Morneau, Quentin, Ordonez, a hot Cuddyer, and Swisher (not because he's especially great but because he is eligible for both positions)

Pitching wise, I have Maholm, Dempster, Scherzer, Carmona, and the pupu platter.

I like Porcello and Zimmermann and Dunn's hitting average is starting to come back to earth. With K's as a category, I'm favoring accepting trade 1. With trade 2, I'm afraid I'm making too much of a change, is this trade a no-brainer? Thanks for any help.

i dont like any of these trades.. i think you are giving up too much in each one. i dont even think im gonna give up dunn for hamels because he is pretty much guaranteed to hit 40+ homers every season.. not to mention every homer looks like it goes in to orbit
