Was he expected to be a superstar? I know he was a rising start but he is having an MVP type season so far. It may not continue but he is a front runner right now.
What type of player was he expected to be?

I heard a lot of comparisons to Torii Hunter and Mike Cameron. Power, speed, defense, but probably not... quite as good as he's been this year. I think he was expected to hit more like .270 than .370. His plate discipline has improved tremendously this year, so he's getting better pitches to hit and right now he's hitting pretty much everything hard. I certainly expect him to come down a bit, but I watch every game and he's hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.

he's in a great spot in the batting order, hitting after Brian Roberts and before Nick Markakis. I expect his average to come back to earth, but his power seems real. Remember, he was the key to the Bedard trade.
