The Rays are expected to recall blue-chip prospect David Price to start Monday.
Price is expected to take the spot vacated by injured starter Scott Kazmir. The super prospect is struggling somewhat this year with a 1-4 record, 3.93 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP through 34 1/3 innings. He's still throwing fireballs, though, with 35 strikeouts thus far. The first overall selection in 2007 was lights out in the post-season last year with a 1.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and eight strikeouts in just 5 2/3 innings. He's worth a flier in AL-only leagues for sure.

IMO, Price's numbers in the minors do not relect anything. He was down there frustrated and on a pitch count. he will have great numbers when he gets called up

Price has been working on his changeup in the minors, a pitch he didn't use at all last year when called up to the bigs. So, I'm sure a lot of his "bad" numbers are because of that. At the very least, he can put that pitch aside if he struggles with it this year and pitch like he did last year. BTW, he closed game 7 of the ALCS.....I would pick him up for sure in any league, not just AL only
