Say it now Gentlemen: MARK REYNOLDS 30/30

Postby Rohan on Fri May 22, 2009 5:08 am

I know there's some teams out there that just hate this guy because of his average. But 28 home runs is a given as he's proved that total last year. The season is not even 1/3 finish and he has 11 stolen bases. it's not like he's going to say, " I have enough, I won't attempt to steel bases anymore" He's going to add to his 11 total swipes. He's only been caught (1) time. For you teams starving in stolen bases, he may provide a kick. By the way, average for a .256 hitter is only .0026 of your total average or something ridiculous.

I think he can hit .258 90 30 105 30+

This SB run won't continue. Remember Berkman last year? He was on pace for 30 SB at the break but only had 3 thereafter.

I'd be more surprised if he stole 30 than if he only stole 15. I'd take the under on 25 and at most a push for 20.

Berkman is also older and has nothing to prove. Reynolds has everything to prove and is looking for a big contract. Younger guys always try to steal more, who can steal bases.

15?? It would seem very unusual that he'd steel 5 more bases the entire season considering he has (10) today and he stole (4) in one game a few days ago.

He had 12 career SB in the minors and 11 in 1000 PA in the majors going into this season. The odds are much greater that this is just a fluke than that he is suddenly going to steal 30 bases.

Guy is definitely underrated (I drafted him in all my leagues not because I like him but simply because he fell to me).
He's hot right now and I'd say sell high if you can get good offers for him.

No way he steals 30. I'd be pretty surprised if he got to 20. Once pitchers consider his a threat to steal a base his opportunities are going to dry up.

Guys, who have no history of stealing, occasionally come out of no where and steal a bunch of bases for one year. However, i wouldn't on him getting 30, though it is possible.
