Im thinking Vmart is at his peak Now WHIR

Postby Regalus » Thu May 21, 2009 11:19 pm

I was offered Manny Ramirez, Matt Weiters, and Jon Lester. I give up Victor Martinez and Johnny Damon.
My team looks like this
C-Vmart
1B-Prince Fielder
2B- Cano
3B- Gay-Roid
SS- Hanley
OF- Carlos Lee
OF- Nick Markakis
OF- Johny Damon
Util- Nate Mclouth
BN- Jorge Cantu(1B, 3B), Denard Span, Pablo Sandoval(1B,3B, C)

My pitchers
Jake Peavy
Clayton Kershaw
Edwin Jackson
Wandy Rodriguez
Tommy Hanson
RP's: Matt Kapps, Brian Fuentes, Bobby Jenks

Im a getting fair value in return for Vmart and Damon. They are both pretty hot right now, but It sure would be nice to have Manny in July.
Leave a link and Ill help.

Is this a keeper league? If it's a keeper then I like it a little more if it's not a keeper I don't really like it that much. Weiters is all about long term value and Manny is gone for awhile. I'm not really high on Lester I would want more sure thing now value for VMart if i'm trading him.

help me?

agreed. If it's a keeper league then this deal works, but if not, man I'd hate to give up VMart right now. I am not big on Lester either. Not sure why everyone is so high on him. I do think Manny is going to tear it up when he gets back, but that is a long time to be without him.

This is a pretty tough one for me. If this is a keeper league, I'd pull the trigger. If this is a re-draft league, I would pull the trigger only if you feel Weiters is going to be lights out (or be at some point in time) when he comes up this year. You already have Sandoval as it is. I'm a big fan of Lester, which makes this trade even better in my opinion. A trade like this could win a head-to-head league in the later months. Thanks for your thoughts on mine.

I think I agree with the group here. If it's a keeper league I like it quite a bit if not I actually think I still like it...just not as much.

Help?
