3 trade offers, any good???

Postby oldmanbean » Thu May 21, 2009 5:25 pm

Which trade (if any) would you make??

#1) I give Konerko and Andrus for D Lee/Duncan and Asdrubal (would play him at 2nd)

#2) I give McLouth and Bonifacio for Rasmus and B Phillips

#3) I give Weeks and Shields and get Kendrick and Maholm

I probably won't have a player left that I started with ....

TIA

C R Martin 9, K Suzuki 4
1B T Ishikawa 6, P Konerko 8
2B E Bonifacio 7, R Weeks 5
3B R Branyan 7, R Zimmerman 6
SS E Andrus 3, J Bartlett 7
OF J Cust 4, J Damon 7, R Ludwick 13, N Markakis 8, N McLouth 13
P H Bell 2, J Broxton 5, J Danks 8, G Floyd 15, C Lee 13
S Richmond 7, J Sanchez 3, J Shields 15, K Uehara 5, J Zimmerman 6

Is this a keeper league? If not, Weeks is worthless.

Without knowing your roster or format, I'd say they all benefit you, but I'd take #2, drop Weeks and grab whoever you like from the FA wire.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=386295

My roster is right there :-) We are a 12 team keeper league, straight points.

reason I am thinking #1 is Asdrubal is only $2 and 2b-ss eligibilty.

ahhh there's the roster. Don't know how I missed it :-S

If I can make another suggestion I would try and get some pitching back in these deals. Martin in particular seems like a luxury a team with your pitching can't afford. If you only start one C, Suzuki is serviceable and I bet someone in your league will give you valuable pitching for Martin.

And what is wrong with my pitching ?? Heh. This week I am doing tremendous except for the fact that the bullpen has blown all my wins.

I am most likely trading Danks away, but I do not know anyone who needs a catcher who is far below his norm. As a matter of fact, there are two free agent catchers ahead of mine, so why would someone trade when they can use a waiver?? Good suggestion though, thanks

#2 was turned down, and this counter proposal was made by me

McLouth and Bonifacio for Hudson and Ankiel + waiver pick

Then he countered with C Young instead of Ankiel

I am not sure of either of them, but I don't think Young is worth anything at this point.

comments?

You don't want Chris Young. Take it from a guy that goes to a lot of Dback games living in AZ.
