Anyone tried this on the Wii? I got a gift certificate for my b-day and I'm thinking about getting it.
It has an 8.8 at IGN and an 8 at gamespot.

Anyone else have an opinion? I haven't played my Wii in ages, but this game might just prompt me to do so.

Meh not a big fan. Kinda boring. I mean the Original Punchout may actually be more entertaining

There aren't many games (if any) that beat Punch Out on the NES. The only game I've played even close to as many times as Mike Tyson's Punch Out over the years is Mario 3. I miss games with as much replay value as those two, but the Wii is doing a pretty good job of trying to correct that I think.

Yea I guess it just feels boring. The old punchout is amazing. The new one is just a little cheesey.

The original punchout is possibly my favorite game ever. Every time I've played over the last 15 or so years feels like the first time. Maybe I'll pass on this after all.

I mean it's pretty cool but it doesn't really introduce much to it IMO. disco kid is a great fight though. Rent it first

Ok. I didn't like the Super Punchout very much either. It just wasn't the same. Sometimes graphics and control get in the way of awesome gameplay.
