Nolasco vs TB (5/22)?

Here's we go again ... the weekly game of chicken to tempt the fates and blowup your ERA/WHIP.

PROs:
-had a fantastic start against the DRays last year on the road (8.2 IP, 2 ER, 6 hits, 1 BB, 12 Ks)
-encouraging outing under horrible conditions on Monday (shutout going with 5 Ks in 3.1 IP)
-the turnaround has to start sometime ... why not now?

CONs:
-DRays are a tougher assignment than DBacks
-Used a lot of pitches in his 3 innings on Monday, and maybe the team is making a bad call starting him on short rest here
-he blows this year

I heavily leaning towards taking the karma hit for everyone else ... and let him have a fantastic start on my bench. Heavily influenced by the fact that in the 2 H2H leagues I own him, I have commanding leads in the counting categories (W, K) with ERA/WHIP being close. What are you guys thinking about doing?

Nope. Tampa too explosive to risk starting this guy against. A lot of people think he was "victimized" by the rain last outing - BS - he was saved by the rain, having allowed 7 baserunners in 3.1 against the D-Backs of all teams.

Nolasco truly sucks right now - much safer play to bench him here.

Woo Hoo! Thanks for the on-air answer. And with a few minutes until game-time, he's planted on my bench. And yeah ... I'm an idiot for calling them the D-Rays And its not even like the franchise has some sort of terrific history as Devil Rays that we can't easily change how we think about them. Maybe its just that I think Devil Rays sounds cooler (and more formidable) than just plain old Rays (not that their record reflects this downgrade of coolness).
