Randy or Beckett?

Who's going to have the better season, the old dude with something to prove, or the young dude with something to prove?

The old dude who is one of the best pitchers of the past decade.

The old dude has got nothing to prove.

I am very confident Beckett will have a great year.

I haven't got that same confidence in Randy J.

Randy Johnson has had an amazing career, is a definite hall of famer and one of the greatest pitchers of all time and if he retired today he would have nothing to prove. But since he is still playing coming off last season he has to prove that he's still got it.

I remember him pitching a 2-hit shoutout last season IN COLORADO

Exactly. I would rather have Beckett on my team.

I'd go with Johnson. I feel he will return to close to his normal numbers and that should be better than Beckett. I would love to see the numbers he could put up if they made him a closer.
