The Lakers are an odd bunch in that they don't know they're lazy but they can't break the complacency habit. I expected them to lose this first game, but it's nice to see they had the wherewithal to stay close, which I thought going in would be key, and they got the big plays in the end. Losing this would've been psychological hindrance for the boys, if they did, methinks.
I love the Lakers but they are very inconsistent. I mean blowing Houston out of the water by winning by 30 points, then looking so lost the next game. If they can put it all together and play to their ability, they will have a good shot at winning it all. Being a Lakers fan and watching the Cavs just steam roll people concerns me though if we were to meet them in the finals. I think the stat they gave was 79% of the teams who win the first game of the series will win the series, so things are looking up for the Lakers.
Got a big win tonight. What say ye now? Last year, the champs, had a tough go in every series while the Lakers strolled along the western playoffs before suffering defeat. The strongest steal is forged through the hottest fire. Watch and enjoy.

except that Lebron is now a better defender, better scorer, better rebounder, better passer, and more explosive.

Tonight's game indicated that Denver has a pretty good shot at winning this series.
