Some good teams are interested and he'll probably be gone shortly.

Don't know. In Boston or NY, he'd be a fifth starter at best and maybe even long relief.

Benson has great stuff....this might finally be his year after coming back from Tommy John. Of course this was projected for last year too....

Why dont you ask Jeff Suppan that? Kris Benson has 70 more career K's at Pitt as oppossed to the road in only 50 more innings. Wins alone dont gaurantee a pitchers success. I think he might be better off outside the A.L. east. He is a young guy trying to build confidence.

He's better off anywhere but pittsburgh they've been rebuilding the whole time he's been there since '96. i hope he doesn't go to the yankees though because he's the only player to come out of my hometown.

I hope he ends up with the Cards. He'd probably be 3rd or 4th starter with a good offense in front of him.

Cashmen said that he never talked to benson's agent. So I dont think he will be going to the yanks.

He would do good in St Louis until Duncan and Larussa pitch his arm off
