Thought I was all better but not so. Hamilton and Votto are day-to-day. I have been rolling without a closer for the past couple weeks and just recently added Heath Bell. I am now thinking of going back to no closer until Ham and Vot come back. It is the least important player/spot on my roster, it affects 1 category and the WW is full of good guys like Cordero, Wood, Fuentes, Downs, Qualls, etc.
Is Bell too much of a steal at closer (even with how bad the Padres were the past month) or should I add Choo or some other good hitter off waivers for the week?
Thanks, leave a link...

I'd rather have a shot at winning the RP cats, than just giving up on them... If I did drop anyone I'd say that your SP could easily survive if you dropped Beuhrle for Choo...
RP cats? More like RP cat. Closers give you 1 thing, saves. They also give you more losses than wins and don't really pitch enough to help out in the other stats.

My point is simple... If you drop Bell you leave yourself with absolutely NO chance at winning saves. On the other hand, Beuhrle gives you nothing that you don't already have or that you'd be hard pressed to get off the WW. I would much, much rather give myself every chance possible to win.
No I understand your point completely but Bell went like 3 weeks without a save (why is is available) and a guy like Choo plays every night he is healthy and can potentially contribute in Hits, 2Bs, 3Bs, HRs, RBIs, BB, AVG, OPS, SB. Closer might not even play during a full week of play and can only help you in 1 category. That is my whole point/problem with keeping a closer over a needed hitter when your boys are down.
