Anyone know if Ben Zobrist is playing full-time now for Tampa Bay? He only has 86 at bats, but it seems he's starting a lot in the OF. Is he going to be a regular??? If so, I'm considering dropping Francoeur for him. I'm also watching Arizona's rookie Parra. Anyone think he'll continue to start?
Others available: Cuddyer, Spilborghs, Cody Ross. Any advice on who to grab if anyone?
I'll tell ya what, I grabbed Zobrist, and I'm sold on him. His power this year is much better than it has in years past. Plus, what's not to love about the lineup he would be hitting in? He's Tampa's ultimate utility player, and the way he's hitting, Maddon would be nuts to not play him. I'd take a flier on him for Francoeur. His multi-position eligibility really helps as well.
I would definitely drop Frenchy for him. Even if Zobrist isn't going to keep it up, I don't think Frenchy will do much anyway. Seems like a high upside move to me
I just dont know how to answer your question as Im looking at Zobrist too!! Im not a fan of Francour at all... and Zobrist has multi positions .... in Yahoo he will have 2b after 2 more starts. Id say take a flier on him..
By the way.... I cant get Kinsler.... Ive already been told hes not for sale!
I am also a big Zobrist fan, but the way I understand it, he got most of his AB's while Gross was injured. Gross is back now, but since Zobrist did so well while he was out, they are going to try to get AB's for him, but he still won't get nearly the playing time he did while Gross was out.
As for your question, I agree with the above: I would do it. Even if Zobrist doesn't work out, Francour will probably still be a free agent and you can get him back.
