I was wondering if Burks is going to take a lot of at bats from him. I was about to pick him up but I am now having second thoughts. I'm in a H2H points league so playing everyday is very important...opinions?

Drop his value a round at the very most. Burks is just a platooner.

Will split time with Burks although will get the majority of at bats. Solid bench player.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

I could have sworn Burks was supposed to be the bench player more than anything else.

I thought David Ortiz would have been the starter no matter what after the stunning second half he had last year.

Your correct. Ortiz will still get at least 450+AB. Burks doesnt hurt his value much at all if any.

Ortiz is the starter and will get almost every at bat. Unless he breaks both arms and legs and his head falls off Burks will continue to be a bench player who comes in every once in a while to take over the DH spot but even then a lot of the time Ortiz will get games at 1B and Millar will rest-Ortiz will get plenty of games and plenty of at bats-hes having a fantastic spring and looks ready to continue where he left off last year. GO SOX!

He was with the Twins for several years, believe me it is quite possible with Ortiz.

Probably just his back, wrist, shoulder, knee and other misc injuries. T

The guy finally boned up and had a good, solid healthy year. Don't expect it, Red Sox fans. GO TWINS!

...and yes I own him in one league already, but I'm not expecting anything other than an up and down injury riddled season from him.

Looking at his splits... You'd get a spectacular boost if all you did was start him against righties
